Bodie is a very well preserved ghost town about 10 miles off of 395 near Mono Lake. Me and Eloise stopped there on our second day of travel after we left Burning Man early. It wasn't nearly as interesting to me this time(the second time I've been there) because it was swarming with tourists. Burning Man...
I don't have a whole lot to say about it. I'm done with it. I still think it has some value and hopefully it will continue to change the way some people see the world, but it did that a long time ago for me and has since turned into something of a disappointment for me in the last few years. I'm much more interested in smaller more intimate gatherings rather than this large spectacle(there were 47,000 people there this year) that's starting to feel more like a night out in downtown San Diego to me. I'm not saying I'll NEVER go back, but I will say it's VERY unlikely that I'll ever find a good enough reason to.
